North Carolina Athletic teams went 2-1 on Friday with wins by the Field Hockey team and Men's Soccer team while the Women's Volleyball team took a loss.

The Women's Soccer team took on UNC-Greensboro in the Duke Nike Classic. Ranee Premji and Bianca Gray each scored goals to lead the Tar Heels to a 2-0 win. Coach Dorrance went to his bench early and often using 21 different players. The Heels scored both of their goals in the first half and outshot Greensboro 18-4 for the game. Carolina will continue their play from Durham on Sunday when they will square off against Texas A&M who lost to host Duke, 7-2 on Friday. The Aggies come into that game with a 3-4 record. North Carolina moves to 4-0 on the season.

In Field Hockey action, Carolina throttled Delaware 6-0. Jaclyn Gaudioso Radvany scored two goals on the day leading the top ranked Tar Heels. Carolina outshot the Blue Hens 34-1 in the game. The Heels will remain in Delaware where they will meet Lafayette on Sunday. UNC moves to 4-0 on the season.

San Diego defeated North Carolina in Women's Volleyball 3-0 in the Carolina Classic in Carmichael Auditorium in Chapel Hill on Friday. San Diego was led by Amber Tatsch who had 12 kills. Emily McGee had 10 kills for Carolina in the loss. San Diego took the match 25-22, 25-16, 25-19. The Tar Heels suffered their second loss and fall to 4-2 on the young season. They will be back in action on Saturday against Georgia Southern at noon as the Carolina Classic continues.
