Sophomore's Harrison Barnes and Kendall Marshall  along with Junior, John Henson have decided to enter the NBA Draft. This ends speculation that has been swirling madly on Tobacco Road as to the futures of these players.

Coach Roy Williams said, "It's a great day for three youngsters who are taking another step toward their ultimate goal of playing professional basketball..".

Henson and Barnes both indicated that they plan to finish obtaining their degrees and all three had nothing but the highest praises for the University, Coaches and Fans.

The decision for James Michael McAdoo has not been made as of yet. His Father indicated on Wednesday that his Mother and Father expected him to return to Chapel Hill.

Carolina will lose 4 of their starters from the 2011-12 team but the cupboard is not bare. Reggie Bullock, P.J. Hairston, Dexter Strickland and the return of Leslie McDonald anchor a corp of players who have started or played significant minutes along with McAdoo, if he returns.

Desmond Hubert will return to give additional inside presence and join highly recruited Marcus Paige who will likely take over at point guard. If you watched the McDonald's All-American game, you saw glimpses of his skill at the position.

Others to watch for next season include upcoming freshmen J.P. Tokoto, Brice Johnson and Joel James who along with Paige are all 4 star recruits. Most recruiting services have the 2012 incoming class in the Top 5 nationally.

Another factor to keep your eye on will be with Alex Oriakhi who has been released from scholarship at Connecticut. He will have one year of eligibility remaining and can play immediately. Oriakhi has expressed interest in Carolina and would have an immediate impact anchoring the paint for the team.

Regardless, there will be no lack of talent with the 2012-13 team. They will not be as big as the 2011-12 squad and you could see a team that really pushes the ball up and down the court with break neck speed. With McDonald coming back from injury along with Bullock and Hairston, they will have some three point shooters on the team.

There is a reason why it is said that at North Carolina, they never rebuild they only reload.
