The North Carolina Women's Soccer team defeated 18th ranked Ohio State 3-0 in a match from Columbus, Ohio on Sunday. Amber Brooks, Kealia Ohai and Emmalie Pfankuch all scored goals. The Tar Heels had 17 shots on goal in the match while yielding only 9 by the Buckeyes. Adelaide Gay recorded her first shutout in net. 

The win moves the top ranked Tar Heels to 4-0 on the season. They will be in action again on September 9 where they will play in the Duke Nike Classic. Carolina will face UNC-Greensboro at 2pm while host Duke meets Texas A&M afterwards. North Carolina will face the Aggies on Sunday at noon.
