Harrison Barnes poured in 17 points and Carolina bounced back from the Kentucky loss with a 97-48 route of Evansville on Tuesday night.

It was all Tar Heels on the night as they jumped out to a big lead early. It was a good shooting three point game coupled with the domination on the glass that led the way. Carolina pulled down 59 rebounds to the Purple Aces 26. They shot 60.5% from the field on the night.

John Henson scored 13 and pulled down 12 boards while Tyler Zeller had 12 points and 10 rebounds. A hot shooting Reggie Bullock went 4-7 behind the three point arch and chipped in 15 points on the night. Freshman P.J. Hairston rolled an ankle in the second half. Hairston is still dealing with the injured wrist suffered against Wisconsin.

Coach Williams had this to say on the win, "We are experienced but we are also still fairly young, too. "It's a pretty good blend. We talked about we have a stretch here where we play a lot of games at home. This is one of them. We've got to try to get better".

The win starts a 9 game home stand for the Tar Heels as they go throw exams and the Holidays. They move to 7-2 on the season and will be in action on Saturday against Long Beach State, a team who has defeated Pittsburgh on the road this season.
