It is being reported that Dwight Jones, Carolina's leading receiver, is cleared to play in Monday's Independence Bowl. Jones, had been declared ineligible by the University for promoting a New Year's Eve Party that could have been a secondary rules violation by the NCAA. Jones, a Senior, will play his final game as a Tar Heel in the Bowl Game.

Meanwhile, Everett Withers who did not get the head coaching position for the school, has joined Urban Meyer's staff at Ohio State. Withers, who was the interim head coach following Butch Davis' departure, will be co-defensive coordinator for the Buckeyes.
