In 1949, North Carolina was a Football school, led by All-American Charlie "Choo-Choo"  Justice. They made the Sugar Bowl that season and met Bud Wilkinson's Oklahoma Sooners. Justice is still a Tar Heel legend, one of the greatest players to have ever played at the school. While at North Carolina, Justice ran or threw for 64 touchdowns and set a team total-offense record of 4,883 yards, which stood until 1994. He was runner up for the Heisman Trophy twice, once behind the legendary Doak Walker. While Justice was at Carolina, Benny Goodman recorded the song, "All the Way, Choo Choo". He was larger than life. Enjoy this rare footage of Charlie Justice and the Tar Heels.
