Billy Schuler led the Tar Heels past Virginia on Friday and into the ACC Finals on Sunday with a 1-0 victory in overtime. Schuler's 14th goal of the season came in the second minute of overtime. The goal propelled Carolina to the Finals against Boston College.

Rob Lovejoy set up Schuler for the game winning goal as the Tar Heels out shot the Cavaliers 22-4 and fired 7 shots on goal. The win moves the 4th ranked Heels to 16-2-2 on the season. It moves North Carolina to their second straight Championship game appearance in a row. A win on Sunday would give them their 3rd Championship in history.

Boston College advanced behind a 2-1 win over Duke.

Meanwhile, the Women's team continued to slide losing their 3rd straight match last week in the ACC Tournament. They lost 1-0 in the first round of the tournament against Florida State. Carolina looks to turn it around in the first round of the NCAA Tournament as they host William and Mary today at 2pm on Fetzer Field.

Carolina enters the NCAA Tournament as a 3 seed which is their lowest seed in history. North Carolina enters the tournament for the 30th straight season and are the only team to have competed in all 30 Championships. They are 108-8-1 in their history in the NCAA Tournament. The winner of this match will face the winner of the Baylor-Texas State match in Waco, Tx.

Three Tar Heels made the all ACC Team. Crystal Dunn, Amber Brooks and Kealia Ohai made the squad for the 12th ranked Heels.
