North Carolina finally put away a fiesty UNC-Asheville team on Sunday, 91-75. The Bulldogs hung around for a good portion of the game and refused to go away in their new arena. When it appeared the Tar Heels were heading for a blowout, UNC-A fought back.

Tyler Zeller poured in 27 points while John Henson kicked in 20 points and 12 rebounds in the victory. Kendall Marshall had a big game at point dishing out 13 assists. 

The Bulldogs are one of the favorites to win the Big South conference. Carolina was their second straight ACC opponent played to start the season They fell to N.C. State on Friday. 

North Carolina shot 59.3 percent from the field on Sunday and 71.4 percent from the line. They struggled from the three point line going 2 for 9. 

The game was tied at 38 with just over a minute to go in the first half before Carolina went on a spurt late in the half and early in the second to open things up. J.P. Primm led the Bulldogs with 23 points

The Tar Heels move to 2-0 on the season and will be in action next on Sunday when they will face Mississippi Valley State in Chapel Hill.
