Tar Heel Volleyball suffered their first loss of the season on Friday but bounced back on Saturday.

The Heels fell to Duke 3-0 (22-25, 22-25, 19-25) in Chapel Hill. Over 5300 witnessed the rivalry.

Jovana Bjelica had 10 kills to lead the Tar Heels in the loss. But it was a case of too many errors in the match. The Heels finished with 28 in the game, twice as many as the Blue Devils.

Ece Taner had 18 defensive digs for North Carolina in the match, while Leigh Andrew came up with 10.

It didn't take long for North Carolina to shake off the loss, sweeping Wake Forest on Saturday, (25-15, 25-20, 25-21). 

Once again, it was Bjelica leading the way with a whopping 16 kills in the match. Lauren Adkins had 12 to add to the total.

The Tar Heels improved to 5-1 in the conference and 16-1 on the season. Next up, is a match with Virginia on Friday, followed by Virginia Tech on Saturday. Both games are on the road.
