The 2012 version of the National Signing Day is in the books and Larry Fedora locked down 23 recruits, good enough to give the Tar Heels the 42nd ranked recruiting class by Rivals.com.

Out of the 23 recruits, 3 were rated as 4 star recruits and 18 3 star recruits. It was a class that spurred Fedora to tweet, "Wow what a day! There is a reason God made the sky Carolina Blue....."

The Tar Heels keep their string of top shelf wide receivers by signing Quinshad Davis of Gaffney, S.C. Davis is a 6'3" 180lb receiver who was ranked second in his state. Another 4 star recruit was quarterback James Summers of Greensboro the ninth ranked quarterback in the state. Offensive lineman, J.J. Patterson, a 6'4" 310 lb recruit from Roanoke Rapids, N.C. is the 3rd 4 Star recruit.
