The 11th ranked Volleyball team remained unbeaten after two victories over the weekend. The Tar Heels defeated Syracuse and Boston College on the weekend road trip.

On Friday, the Heels went into Syracuse and came out with a 3-0 victory (25-21, 25-20, 25-15). Jovana Bjelica  led North Carolina with 14 kills in the match. Carolina was able to keep the Orange at arm distance in the first set. In the second, it didn't talk long to turnaround an early deficit and take the set. In the third set, once again North Carolina came from behind but rolled later in the set running away with the win.

In Sunday action, Carolina swept an opponent for the 12th time this season. The Tar Heels took down Boston College 3-0 (25-17, 27-25, 25-21). It is the 4th straight sweep and 9th out of the last 10 matches.

Jovana Bjelica came up with 9 kills followed by Victoria McPherson's 8 to lead UNC. Ece Taner had 10 defensive digs in the match. The Tar Heels served well, coming up with 6 aces.

After a pedestrian first set, the Heels found themselves in an early hole in the second but rallied back to overcome a 6 point deficit. In the third set, North Carolina was quick out of the gate building a solid lead and held off the Eagles to complete the sweep.

The Tar Heels move to 15-0 on the season and 4-0 in the ACC. They will return home to face Duke on Friday night and Wake Forest on Saturday.
